Thursday, April 1, 2021, kicked off baseball season in Detroit.

The Detroit Tigers took on Cleveland Indians for Major League Baseball's opening day, winning 3-2.

Fans were able to watch their players inside the ballpark for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic struck.

Per state health department's guidance, the park operated at 20% capacity with about 8,200 fans inside, only a small fraction of the roughly 41,000 that can fit inside Comerica.
